Nash Street Homebrew Coming to Hillsborough

nash homebrewNot only are Hillsborough residents getting excited about the opening of Mystery Brewing Co. in downtown, but now they can brew their own beer without having to drive into Carrboro or Durham to get supplies.

While Mystery has yet to announce an opening date, Erik Lars Myers and Chris Shields have been making great headway in the opening of Nash Street Homebrew.  Erik is the owner and mastermind behind Mystery and is also authoring a book about beer in North Carolina and runs the popular beer blog Top Fermented.  But that wasn’t enough!  Erik wanted residents west of the triangle to have a local shop where they could find the best ingredients for brewing their own beer from home.

So if you live in the area and have yet to dive into home brewing, this is a great opportunity!  Chris and Erick are to experienced homebrewrs, and now professional brewers and will be glad to share their wisdom with you as you jump into this great hobby.

Grand Opening Saturday

This Saturday, Nash will be having their grand opening.  There will be brewing demonstrations going on all day and the staff will be there to answer questions.  If you are already a home brewer, bring some of your own beer and get feedback from some great beer minds.

Nash is located at 234 S. Nash Street in Hillsborough, directly next door to Hillsborough BBQ.

The event will be going on from noon until 7pm on Saturday.  For more information, check out their website or the facebook event.

As the guys at Nash were happy to point out, “It’ll be a rip-roaring good time.”
