Learn to Brew High Gravity Beers

American Brewmaster in Raleigh is putting together what looks to be an awesome advanced homebrewing class on brewing high alcohol content beers.  Not only will they be covering some useful tips and techniques, but you’ll be able to sample several high-ABV beers while you’re there!  Some of the beers include Imperial IPA, Belgian Golden and Dark Strong, Tripel, and Barleywine.

The event will take place at the Busy Bee Cafe in Raleigh and will focus on proper yeast & aeration rates, wort composition, balancing complex flavors, and much more!

Tickets are $25 each, and you can call American Brewmaster (919-850-0095) to reserve your spot, as seats are limited.

What: Advanced Homebrew Class – Brewing High Gravity Beer
When: Tuesday, August 14th, 6:30-8:30 PM
Where: The Busy Bee, 225-100 S. Wilmington St., Raleigh
Cost: $25

This should be a great class, and the timing is perfect, as you should be planning out your high gravity brew days soon so that they will be reaching their prime in time for the cold winter months!  I, personally, will be brewing a 9.5% Imperial Stout next weekend, and I already have a 12% ABV Barleywine and an 8.5% German Apfelwein fermenting and conditioning for winter.
