For the third straight year, the Museum of Life and Science in Durham, NC will be hosting an AfterHours event to showcase local beer and teach people about the science behind brewing beer, drinking beer, enjoying beer, and more!
The event will be held on Thursday, September 13 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM. Tickets are $15 for members or $18 for the general public and can be purchased from the Museum website.
The event will feature a variety of activities, including:
1.) Beer Sampling – simply talk about beer with local brewers and taste some samples. You will receive a 2oz tasting glass when you purchase a ticket!
2.) Science Experiments – Museum staff will be hosting science experiments that “pair” well with beer from local breweries. For example, at the Science of Wine event, the museum worked with 3 Cups to create an experiment about sulfate levels in wines and foods.
3.) Classroom Sessions – This is a chance to get more in depth with local breweries and beer experts. There will be several 15-20 minute sessions covering a variety of beer-related topics, where you will also have the opportunity to taste some interesting beers.
